Find your Syllabus in Canvas

A syllabus is a document that outlines all of the policies and content of a course, including the textbook, how things will be graded, topics that will be covered, a weekly schedule, and a list of tests, assignments, and their associated weightings. Each course has its own Syllabus with specific information. Here is how you can find it!

All SPC courses are required to use something called a Simple Syllabus. 

Simple Syllabi are designed to streamline your syllabus experience at St. Petersburg College. With a consistent order of content across all SPC syllabi, you'll easily find the information you need.

If your course is a General Education course or uses Respondus Lockdown Browser, your syllabus must be available from your instructor and viewable 45 days before the course start date.

To view course Syllabi prior to the course being open, visit the Simple Syllabus web site. 

All other courses should have a Syllabus up by the course start date. 

If your course is not yet open and you would like to see if the Syllabus is ready, visit the Simple Syllabus Library. 

 

IMPORTANT: ALL SPC Courses are using Simple Syllabus. This syllabus can be found in each course under Syllabus.

How to find your syllabus in Canvas:

1. Enter Canvas.
   
   
2. Enter a Course in your account.
   
   
3. Click the Syllabus tab in the course menu on the left.
   
   
4. If you still do not see the Syllabus tab, you will need to contact your instructor for your course.

How to print your syllabus in Canvas: 

1. Follow steps 1-3 above. 
2. Select the Print button in the top right corner. 
   
   
   
3. Follow the steps to print from your device. They vary based on browser, computer, if you're printing to an actual print or a PDF, etc.
