Insert an Image

The HTML Editor is the toolbar you see across the top of a text box that allows you to add items like photos or videos to the text box.  For example, the HTML Editor is available when you edit discussion topics, create custom instructions for Dropbox folders, and create content topics.

Step-by-Step:

To Insert an Image:

  1. Click on the location where you want to place the Image within the text box.

  2. Within the HTML editor, click on the Insert Image icon from the toolbar across the top


  3. Click Upload.

  4. Locate the file on your computer

  5. Click on the name of the file

  6. Click Open

  7. Click Add

  8. The Provide Alternative Text dialog box will appear

  9. Enter Alternative Text information. 

    NOTE - This text is read by a screen reader for students with visual disabilities.

  10. Click OK

If the file has already been uploaded to the Manage Files area:

  1. Click on Course Offering Files

  2. Locate the file within the Manage Files area

  3. Click the radio button next to the image you wish to use

  4. Click Add

  5. The Provide Alternative Text dialog box will appear

  6. Enter Alternative Text information.

  7. Click OK
