Midterm Progress Information

  • The midterm progress report is an unofficial letter grade given to you by your instructor intended to let you know where you stand in the course at the halfway mark.

    • Please take this opportunity to reflect on your progress thus far and reach out to your instructors and/or Learning Resources if you see opportunities for improvement.

    • If you are uncertain about your grade, speak with your instructor.

  • Please remember that this is not your final grade in the class and will not be reflected on your transcript. Only your final grade at the end of the term will be recorded on your transcript.

  • This grade reflects your average at the time in which it was given. Please remember:

    • This grade may or may not include missed assignments, so speak to your instructor for clarification.

    • This grade may not include recently submitted work that was not yet graded at the time that the midterm progress report was submitted.

  • This grade should not be confused with your midterm exam or midterm project grade (if applicable).

  • This grade may change based on future performance. An “A” grade at the halfway mark does not imply that an “F” during the second half would average to a “C,” nor vice versa.

  • If you feel discouraged, please reach out to us before making a decision on whether to withdraw.

    • Speak with your instructor to hear their view of your grade prognosis and discuss ways you can improve.

    • Speak with your advisor about what this means regarding your degree progress and financial standing.
