SPC WiFi – Connect Using an Apple Mac Computer

Follow the steps below to connect your Apple Mac computer to the SPCWifi wireless network while on an SPC campus.

Connect to SPCWifi

1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar at the top-right corner of your screen.

   You can also open System Settings and select Wi-Fi.

2. Make sure Wi-Fi is turned On.
3. From the list of available networks, select SPCWifi.
4. When prompted, enter your SPC credentials using the appropriate format below.

SPC Students

Username: acad\StudentIDNumber

Password: Your SPC login password

5. Select OK or Join to continue.

6. You may be prompted to verify the SPC wireless network certificate.

   Verify that the server/certificate information references:

   wireless.spcollege.edu

7. Select Continue to accept the certificate.

   Your Mac may require your computer password, Touch ID, or other administrator authentication to approve the certificate.

8. Once connected, SPCWifi should display as the active Wi-Fi network.

Having Trouble Connecting?

If you previously connected to SPCWifi and are now having trouble connecting, forgetting the network and reconnecting may resolve the issue.

Forget SPCWifi on a Mac

1. Open the Apple menu ().
2. Select System Settings.
3. Select Wi-Fi.
4. Locate SPCWifi.

If SPCWifi is currently displayed under your known networks:

5. Select the Details button or the More (…) button next to SPCWifi.
6. Select Forget This Network.
7. Confirm that you want to remove the network.

Return to Wi-Fi, select SPCWifi, and attempt to connect again using your SPC credentials.
