Password Reset: "password does not meet requirements'

If you receive the message stating that your password does not meet the length, complexity, age, or history requirements while attempting to reset your SPC password, it is usually due to one of two reasons. Most commonly, the system prevents multiple password changes within a 24-hour period for security purposes. If you recently reset your password, you will need to wait 24 hours before attempting another self-service reset or contact the Technical Support Center for assistance. In other cases, the new password may not meet SPC’s security requirements, such as minimum length, required character types, or password history rules.

Why You’re Seeing This Message

1. You recently changed your password (within the last 24 hours)

For security reasons, SPC accounts cannot be reset more than once within a 24-hour period.

If you attempt another reset too soon, the system will block it and display this error.

✔ What to do:

  • Wait 24 hours and try again OR
  • Contact the Technical Support Center for assistance (see below)

2. The new password does not meet SPC security requirements
