How to Find Your Quiz Results
-
Navigate to Quizzes: In your course, click the "Quizzes" link in the course navigation menu.
-
Select the Quiz: Click on the title of the specific quiz you want to review.
-
Access Your Results: After submitting the quiz, you should be able to view your results directly, provided your instructor has allowed it.
What You Might See (Quiz Dependent)
What you can view is entirely controlled by your instructor's settings for that specific Quiz. Here are the common scenarios:
-
Scenario 1: Review with Correct Answers
- You can see your score, all the questions, and your responses.
- For each question, you will see an indicator of whether your answer was correct or incorrect.
- For incorrect answers, the correct answer will be shown next to your response. A red flag typically indicates your wrong answer, and a gray flag shows the correct one.
-
Scenario 2: Review Without Correct Answers
- You can see your score, all the questions, and your responses.
- You will see an indicator of whether your answer was correct or incorrect, but you will not see the correct answer.
- This is a common setting if your instructor wants you to find the correct answers through your own research or a separate assignment.
- Scenario 3: Viewing Feedback
-
Scenario 4: Results are Hidden
- Your instructor may have completely hidden the quiz results. In this case, you will only be able to see your overall score in the Gradebook, but not the details of the quiz itself.
- Note: A known limitation of Quizzes is that users with the "Paired Observer" role can only see the final score and cannot view any quiz details.
What to Do If You Can't See Your Results
If your quiz results are hidden or you can't see the information you need:
- Check the "Hide Results" Setting: Your instructor may have intentionally toggled on the "Hide results from students" option for the quiz. This is often done to delay results until a specific date or after the due date to maintain academic integrity.
- Contact Your Instructor: The most reliable step is to contact your instructor directly. They are the only person who can adjust the quiz settings or provide you with the information. You can ask them if they plan to release the results later or if you can schedule a time to review your quiz together during their office hours.
