This guide will help you troubleshoot if you are a student who gets stuck in a loop when attempting to install Respondus LockDown Browser.
Step by Step:
1. First login to your device and make sure that you have full administrative rights to install.
2. Navigate to the Quiz that requires you to use LockDown Browser and click on that link. Example below:
3. Once inside, scroll all the way to the very bottom of that page until you see Quiz Requirements and you will see the image below. On it click the link highlighted in the picture to install LockDown Browser.
Note: If you have already installed it for a previous quiz, you DO NOT need to reinstall it again. You simply need to click Launch LockDown Browser in the blue box (in the image below).
Notice there is also a link if you need more help.
4. Now you will arrive at another page, where you will see download link - click it.
5. Now click here to watch a video for the full installation and possible "stuck in a loop experience".
