Now that you've enrolled in an online class, it's important to get off to a good start. To help you do that, here are some things you need to know – and do – in advance.
Step-by-Step:
- Check out the Titan Hub. This is your SPC portal and how you access all that you need to succeed at SPC! Review the linked guide to the hub and reach out to the helpdesk if you need assistance.
- Check the start date of your online course(s). To do so, log in to MySPC. Select "My Academics" and then "Schedule & Fees". This will show you the start date for your course(s).
- Familiarize yourself with the MyCourses system. MyCourses is the online learning platform in which online courses are delivered. Blended courses and face-to-face courses use MyCourses too, so this is your entry page for all of your courses and most likely where all your grade information will be.
NOTE: It is also strongly recommended that you run the “System Check”, which is located on the MyCourses login page, to ensure that your computer meets all of the technical requirements. Go to MyCourses.
-
Access Your MyCourses Account. MyCourses is SPC's online learning platform. Every course you take at SPC, regardless if it is face-to-face, Live-Online, blended, or an online course, will have an online classroom in MyCourses. Here is a 4-minute Video Overview of MyCourses for students.
- The following resources are available to help you become more acquainted with MyCourses:
- Introduction to MyCourses: The “Introduction to MyCourses” course is located within the MyCourses system and is available to all students, faculty, and staff.
